Holler To The Skies
He came to me in a distant dream
Unexpected, caught me by suprise
He gave me a message that I'll never forget
He shouted out aloud
He hollered to the skies
(Chorus)
He said
Follow the stars to the promised land
To a life of peace
With no worries or troubles
Guide the good to the promised land
And live you lives in freedom
So off we set for the promised land
With millions of people following behind
We walked many miles, we were close to falling
Then he appeared
He hollered to the skies
(Chorus)
He said
Don't give up on the promised land
You may be tired
And you may be weary
Soon you'll arrive at the promised land
To a whole new world of happiness
And I led them on over desert and sand
Exhausted and hungry but still determined
Just as our situation looked bleak
I remembered those words
And hollered to the skies
(Chorus)
We will
Follow the stars to the promised land
To a life of peace
With no worries or troubles
I'll guide the good to the promised land
And we'll live our lives in freedom
We finally made it to the promised land
A perfect paradise for us to exist in
I thank you now for this world you provided
I climb up high
And holler to the skies
(Chorus)
Hear me now
We didn't give up on the promised land
At times we were tired
And though we were weary
Now we've arrived at the promised land
To a whole new world of happiness
We followed the stars to the promised land
To a life of peace
With no worries or troubles
I guided the good to the promised land
And we'll live our lives in freedom

Author's Comments: This song was not intentionally written as a religious song, nor am I religious person, but I still think the song works well. The thing that makes this song unique, is the way that the chorus isn't the same throughout the song. The song works best if the verse is sung slowly and 'meaningfully', and the chorus is very fast, and more 'rock'.
