Deja Vu

by Scott Hann, from Rock & Roll

Author's comment: This song is very similar to another song I have written called 'Safe To Commit', in that they both talk about the feeling of being used. This song is about being used again and again, and being reminded of it all the time, i.e. "I remember the pain, feel the scars"

What is it about me
That people think
They can use ?

I feel so angry
I'm tired, I'm dazed,
And I'm just so confused

I've been thinking it over
Going over events
In my head

And I can't help thinking
Right now I just wish
I was stone cold dead

<Bridge>
Remember the time - deja vu
See the signs - deja vu
Hear the midnight chime - deja vu
You can't eascape this deja vu!

<Chorus>
Deja Vu
Feels like I been here a thousand times before
Deja Vu
I remember the pain, feel the scars
Deja Vu
From times of old, I know the score
Deja Vu
Every foolish dream of mine, left in broken shards

It's so hard to do
But I'm gonna break
These chains

Release the grip
That you have on
My body and my brain

Like an immortal trance
I'm drawn to you, it's
Something I fear

I know I'll get hurt
I'll have my regrets
But I can't leave it here

<Bridge>

<Chorus>

Remember the time - deja vu
See the signs - deja vu
Hear the midnight chime - deja vu
(Repeat to fade)
