Faded Pictures
Look in the mirror - its no illusion
I don't recognise, in my dillusion
The picture staring eye to eye with me
Like autumn leaves, my colour's changed
Turned to grey, it seems I've aged
I don't know me any more
<Bridge>
All I have are pictures
That have faded over time
These pictures aren't material
But memories in my mind
<Chorus>
Times change, who knows what lies ahead ?
Count the times when we have cried and bled
Remember how we fought
And the memories life brought
I wouldn't change them for the world instead!
The hands swing by with endless motion
Streams once young grow into oceans
Someday I'll be one with the sea
The world spins on and I'm still standing
All alone but understanding
Everyone must fall from grace
<Bridge>
<Chorus>
In my time on this great rock
From coast to coast and dock to dock
I've learnt the lessons life set out to teach me
I've seen the greatest rising and falling
Watched them fly and mocked them crawling
Life is just too short to be wasted
<Bridge>
<Chorus>
(Spoken)
All I have are faded pictures
These memories of mine...
And I wouldn't change them for the world
